<p>According to <a rel="nofollow" href="http://blogs.technet.com/b/windowsserver/archive/2010/06/07/coming-soon-windows-server-2008-r2-sp1-beta.aspx" target="_blank">blogs.technet.com</a>:</p>
<p>The public beta of <a title="Service Pack 1" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/service-pack-1">Service Pack 1</a> for <a title="Windows" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/windows">Windows</a> Server 2008 R2 and <a title="Windows 7" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/windows-7">Windows 7</a> will be released by the <strong>end of July</strong>.</p>
<p>SP1 will be a <strong>joint release</strong> for both <a title="Windows" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/windows">Windows</a> Server 2008 R2 and <a title="Windows 7" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/windows-7">Windows 7</a>.</p>
<p>SP1 will not contain any new features that are specific to Windows 7 itself. For Windows 7, SP1 will simply be the combination of updates already available through Windows Update and additional hotfixes based on feedback by customers and partners.</p>
<p>From the server side, two key new features have been included:</p>
<p><strong>Dynamic memory</strong> is an enhancement to Hyper-V in R2 and allows IT administrators to pool all the memory available on a physical host and dynamically distribute it to virtual machines running on that host as necessary. That means based on changes in workload, your VMs will be able to receive new memory allocations without a service interruption.<a rel="nofollow" href="http://blogs.technet.com/virtualization/archive/2010/03/18/Dynamic-Memory-Coming-to-Hyper-V.aspx" target="_blank"><br />
</a></p>
<p><strong>RemoteFX</strong> is the latest addition to <a title="Microsoft" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/microsoft">Microsoft</a>’s desktop virtualization stack. Using this new feature in Windows Server 2008 R2, you’ll be able to deliver an even richer and more user-transparent desktop virtualization experience. RemoteFX functions independently of any graphics stack and supports any screen content, including rich content like Silverlight or Flash. It also enhances the end-user’s hardware experience with support for USB redirection. Because it uses virtualized graphics <a title="resources" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/resources">resources</a>, RemoteFX works on a wide array of target devices, which means you can deploy it over both thick and thin client hosts and a wide variety of network configurations.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-20" title="untitled" src="http://wordpresslocker.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/untitled5.bmp" alt="" /></p>
<p>The time has come to list the <strong>top 10 SEO mistakes</strong> committed by website owners worldwide. If you are complaining about your website not ranking high enough on the search engines, then have a good look at this list and make sure your website is not making any of these mistakes.</p>
<p>I’ve divided up this article into 2 sections: on page SEO and off page SEO mistakes.</p>
<h2>On Page SEO Mistakes</h2>
<p>This section refers to SEO mistakes made on your actual website.</p>
<h3>1. Not Targeting 1 Keyword Per Page</h3>
<p>This is the most important facet of on page SEO yet so many people are either unaware of its importance or forget to do it. It’s 100 times easier to target just 1 keyword per page than to target 10 keywords per page. At the very maximum, you can target 2 keywords but try to keep it to one. Focusing your efforts on 1 keyword per page will get greater results quicker. I can guarantee it.</p>
<h3>2. No Keyword In URL</h3>
<p>The URL of each page should have the keyword you are targeting for that page. If it doesn’t, then you are going to make it harder to get that page ranking for that target keyword. Fix up your URL if you have to because this is crucial to SEO success.</p>
<h3>3. No Keyword In Title Tag</h3>
<p>I cannot count the number of pages I’ve been webpages not have their target keyword in the title tag. Just in case you’re not aware, the title tag is what appears at the top of your browser when you’re on a webpage. This is the one mistake I see the most because it is so obvious when I visit a webpage. It’s amazing how many home pages of websites have the word “Home” in their title tags. You MUST have the target keyword in your title tag because it will make a huge difference to your SEO efforts. This is certainly one of the <em>top 10 SEO mistakes</em> out there today.</p>
<h3>4. Bad Use Of Meta Description And Meta Keywords</h3>
<p>The most common mistake regarding meta description is people not using it at all. Just in case you weren’t aware, the meta description is a short description which is used to describe your website in search engine result listings. You might as well use it to entice people to visit your website when they find you on the search engines. It’s also doesn’t hurt to have your target keyword there.</p>
<p>Regarding meta keywords, the most common mistake is people adding a ton of keywords there. You should restrict yourself to a maximum of 5 to 8 keywords because any more will be seen as keyword spamming by the <a title="Search Engines" rel="nofollow" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_search_engine" target="_blank">search engines</a> and this will get you punished.</p>
<h3>5. Bad Keyword Density</h3>
<p>Unfortunately, many people are still committing this grave SEO mistake. Some are mentioning their target keyword as much as possible on their webpage to try and get it to rank highly. It used to work in the early days of the <a title="Internet" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/internet">Internet</a> when search engines were relatively dumb but nowadays it’s bound to get you severely punished or even banned.</p>
<p>On the other hand, there are those people who do not mention their target keyword enough on their webpages. This is also bad because the search engines have no idea what keyword your webpage is trying to rank highly for.</p>
<p>The goal should be a <a title="Keyword Density" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.keyworddensity.com/" target="_blank">keyword density</a> of 3% which is not too much and just enough for good SEO.</p>
<h2>Off Page SEO Mistakes</h2>
<p>This section refers to SEO mistakes made outside your website, but which hamper your website’s ability to rank highly on the search engines.</p>
<h3>6. Bad Keyword Research</h3>
<p>Keyword research is the basis for SEO success. If you target keywords which have high competition, then your ability to rank highly and get <a title="traffic" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/traffic" target="_blank">traffic</a> will be reduced in the short term. On the other hand, you should not simply target keywords because of low competition because there may not be enough people searching for that keyword. It’s all about finding a balance between the number of searches and the number of websites competing for that keyword. Use tools such as <a title="Google Keyword Tool" rel="nofollow" href="https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal" target="_blank">Google Keyword Tool</a> can help you do that.</p>
<h3>7. No Keyword In Anchor Text</h3>
<p>Off page SEO is all about building backlinks aka links back to your website. However, in the process of doing that, many people forget to put their keyword in the anchor text of the backlink. For example, if the primary keyword of your website was “computer repairs”, then you want to computer repairs in your anchor text, just like in the following:</p>
<p>“Visit the best computer repairs service in town.”</p>
<p>Please note that the above is just an example.</p>
<p>This must be one of the most <a title="simple" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/simple">simple</a> top 10 SEO mistakes committed today.</p>
<h3>8. No Anchor Text Variety</h3>
<p>While it’s great to use your target keyword in the anchor text of your backlinks, you must also mix and match with other keywords. In other words, if you have 100 links with the same keyword in your anchor text, then the search engines will get suspicious that a robot is at work and will punish your website. For this reason, you should find about 5 other related keywords and use them in your anchor text too. The greater the variety, the better your SEO results will be.</p>
<h3>9. No Link Source Variety</h3>
<p>There are plenty of ways to get backlinks, however, one of the top 10 SEO mistakes committed by people too often is by using only a minimal amount of link sources. For example, some people simply use article marketing to get their backlinks. Others just use social media. The reality is that you should use a wide variety of sources to get your backlinks. This is because the more sources you use, the more natural the backlinks appear to the search engines, and the higher your website will rank.</p>
<h3>10. No Natural Build Up Of Links</h3>
<p>Building on the previous mistake, you have to make sure that the amount of backlinks your website gets takes place in a natural, human-like manner. For example, getting 300 links in 1 week is almost certainly going to make search engines suspicious about your website and they will punish you accordingly. However, if you get 300 links over the course of a month, then that will appear to be more natural and they will more than likely than not reward you.</p>
<h3>Fix Them And Then Avoid Them</h3>
<p>I suggest that you go through all of your websites and see whether they are committing the SEO mistakes covered in this post. After fixing them, it’s all a case of avoiding the top 10 SEO mistakes so that your websites get the rankings and <a title="traffic" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/traffic">traffic</a> they need and deserve.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>To give <a title="developers" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/developers" target="_blank">developers</a> a choice of high-quality fonts when using the Font API, we have created the <a title="Google Font Directory" rel="nofollow" href="http://code.google.com/webfonts" target="_blank">Google Font Directory</a>. There you can browse our catalog of available fonts, learn about the font designers who created them, and copy the <a title="code" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/code">code</a> required to use them on your web page.</p>
<p>The fonts in the directory are all released under <a title="open source" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/open-source">open source</a> licenses; you can use them on any non-commercial or commercial project.</p>
<h3>Enter Google Font API</h3>
<p><a title="Google" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/category/google" target="_blank">Google</a> has introduced the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://code.google.com/webfonts/" target="_blank">Google Font Directory</a> and <a rel="nofollow" href="http://code.google.com/apis/webfonts/" target="_blank">Google Font API</a>, a <a title="free" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/free">free</a> web service that allows website owners the ability to utilize other fonts outside of the Web-safe fonts cadre in an easy, convenient, and resource-efficient way.</p>
<p>The <a title="Google" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/category/google" target="_blank">Google</a> Font API is a fresh entry to the <a title="The Font-as-Service - ilovetypography.com" rel="nofollow" href="http://ilovetypography.com/2009/08/07/the-font-as-service/" target="_blank">Font-as-Service</a> niche that includes TypeKit, Typotheque, and others.</p>
<p>So let’s take a plunge into the untapped potential of <a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/category/google">Google</a>’s Font API.</p>
<h3>What is Google Font API?</h3>
<p>OK, you surf the Web a lot, but have you seen many non-standard fonts used on websites or blogs around?</p>
<p>Let’s define non-standard fonts to mean anything apart from Web-safe fonts such as Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, Georgia, and Times New Roman.</p>
<p>Outside of <a title="design" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/design">design</a>-oriented websites and blogs (e.g. on the mainstream Web), probably not many.</p>
<p><strong><a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/google">Google</a> Font API</strong> is a web service that supports high-quality <a title="open source" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/open-source">open source</a> font files that can be used on your web designs easily.</p>
<p>The <a title="Google Font Directory - code.google.com" rel="nofollow" href="http://code.google.com/webfonts/" target="_blank">font collection</a> will hopefully keep growing to give you the ability to choose many more types of fonts.</p>
<h3>Advantages of Using Google Font API</h3>
<p>If you decide to use <a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/google">Google</a>’s Font API, here are some of the things you’ll be able to take advantage of.</p>
<h4>Keep Using HTML Text</h4>
<p>Unlike using images or CSS-background-<a title="image" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/image">image</a> replacement, using <code>@font-face</code> as a solution to prettier web typography is more SEO-friendly.</p>
<p>In addition, it’s an unobtrusive solution, meaning that you don’t need to modify any of your existing content — you just update your CSS stylesheets.</p>
<h4>Web Accessible</h4>
<p>Because you’re using HTML text and not an <a title="image" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/image">image</a> or CSS-background, it doesn’t affect people who use screen readers.</p>
<h4>High Uptime Infrastructure and Reduction of Your Web Server’s Duties</h4>
<p>By <a title="Website Features That You Can Easily Offload" rel="nofollow" href="http://sixrevisions.com/web-applications/website-features-that-you-can-easily-offload/" target="_blank">offloading</a> your <code>@font-face</code> needs to <a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/google">Google</a>’s reliable infrastructure, you can be assured of the fact that serving the font files will be fast and that you are relieving your own server’s work.</p>
<h3>How to Use Google Font API</h3>
<p>You don’t need to be a hardcore web developer to use Google Font API. To use Google Font API, all you need to do is add one stylesheet <code>link</code> element in your web pages and then you can start using that font in your CSS.</p>
<p>Here’s the generalized process of using Google’s Font API:</p>
<h4>Step 1: Add the Stylesheet Link with Your Preferred Font</h4>
<p>Search Google’s <a title="Google Font Directory - code.google.com" rel="nofollow" href="http://code.google.com/webfonts/" target="_blank">font collection</a> to see what available fonts you can use. The basic format for including a certain font on your own website is:</p>
<pre>&lt;link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="<strong>http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Font+Name</strong>"&gt;</pre>
<h4>Step 2: Use the Font to Style Your HTML Elements</h4>
<p>In the example below, you’re assigning your <code>&lt;h1&gt;</code> elements the font called <code>Font Name</code> using the <code>font-family</code> CSS attribute.</p>
<pre>h1 {
	font-family: 'Font Name', serif;
}</pre>
<p>If you only need the font for a single use, you can declare your style inline.</p>
<pre>&lt;p style="font-family: 'Font Name', serif" &gt;Six Revisions Is Beautiful&lt;/p&gt;</pre>
<h4>Step 3: Always Have a Backup Plan</h4>
<p>You might have noticed in the above <a title="code" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/code">code</a> samples that I’ve used <code>serif</code> as the fallback font. This is done to avoid any unexpected behavior. It means that if anything goes wrong with Google’s servers, the browser can use its default Serif font. Make this a practice when using the <code>font-family</code> attribute whether you’re using <code>@font-face</code> or not — this practice is called font stacks.</p>
<h3>Example Using Google Font API</h3>
<p>Here’s an example. Copy and paste the following <a title="code" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/code">code</a> block into an HTML document, save it, and then open in your web browser.</p>
<p>I suggest testing your HTML document in various browsers so you can see the cross-browser differences (or lack thereof).</p>
<p>You can experiment with a different type of font, but for this example, I used the <a rel="nofollow" href="http://code.google.com/webfonts/family?family=Lobster" target="_blank">Lobster typeface</a>.</p>

<p>The following is the list of 7 <strong><a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/category/google">Google</a> SEO <a title="tips" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/tips">tips</a></strong> that I found necessary for small businesses to generate results and I hope this list helps the new and inexperienced businesses that are looking for a SEO guide.</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Make a site that is easy to load</strong>:<br />
Now that <a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/category/google">Google</a> has initiated speed into the <a title="search engine" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/search-engine">search engine</a> ranking algorithm, its time to make sure that your website is easy to load. By improving your website’s speed you also improve customer experience, which helps in converting your visitor into customer. Use tools such as YSlow or Web Page Analyzer to check out the problem behind slow speed. Make a site that is SEO <a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/category/google">Google</a> friendly and easy to load so that you do not make users wait to purchase your products.</li>
<li><strong>Optimize for local search</strong>:<br />
Going local is the most beneficial technique for small business enterprises. Around 70% local consumers use <a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/google">Google</a> SEO local listings to search information about the nearby companies. Verify your business on the local listings such as Yahoo Local, <a title="Bing" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/bing">Bing</a> Local or <a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/google">Google</a> Places to get maximum benefits.</li>
<li><strong>Connect with the customer by adding personal touch to your site</strong>:<br />
The major advantage that small businesses have is chance to connect with the customers by adding a personal voice. By making your voice heard you are not just adding trust but also showcasing your authority in the market. Add recommendations and reviews along with product features and how your services can benefit the customers.</li>
<li><strong>Give importance to content:</strong><br />
Content has always been the king for the search engines and it still is. Search engines not just give more importance to unique SEO friendly content, but, the better opportunities are given to users to find your products and services. Explain everything – services you provide, the benefit customers can get, feedback, improvements, everything that makes it easy for the customers to build trust.</li>
<li><strong>Filter your internal links</strong>:<br />
Make sure that your navigation scheme is getting all of your content. Internal links not just add value to your website but also make customers and search engines happy. Develop a linking mindset, think professionally about your website’s linking architecture or use sites like CopyBlogger to refer older posts in your articles. You may also add sitemaps, older posts and related products so that your old but informative content is seen or linked to.</li>
<li><strong>Don’t fuss about receiving no-follow links</strong>:<br />
Do not get carried away solely by trying to get incoming links lacking dreaded no-follow. You cannot manage how search engines act. Providing better services and customer satisfaction is your SEO guide. If you focus on good content, search engines will focus on various aspects of SEO by themselves. Better content attracts better links and it is good for both SEO and customers at the same time.</li>
<li><strong>Create content for people not only for search engines</strong>:<br />
If your sole purpose to create the content is to impress the search engines, you are missing on all your business profits. As per the <a title="Google" href="http://www.blogingbloging.com/tag/google">Google</a> SEO guide, creating a user friendly content can help you more as compared to just creating content for search engines. A user visits your website to see how your services can benefit him, but when he comes to your site and finds a content that is confusing; he may leave and might not come back. If you want more inbound links and business profits, make sure to write for the customers because no matter how important search engines are, they cannot avail your services!</li>
